Parts Assistant - Sutton Coldfield
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 basic per annum
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location:
Sutton Coldfield / Minworth
£28,000 - £30,000 basic salary
Monday to Friday - no weekends
25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 28 days

We are currently recruiting for a Parts Assistant to join a well-established and growing business in the Sutton Coldfield area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous parts experience gained within a mechanical environment. You could come from the motor trade, commercial vehicles, plant, heavy machinery, material handling or a similar mechanical industry.
Working closely with the Parts Supervisor, the successful Parts Assistant will support the day-to-day running of the department, helping with parts administration, stock control and parts requests, while ensuring technicians and other departments receive the correct parts efficiently.
Parts Assistant Responsibilities- Assist with the day-to-day running of the parts department
- Process internal and external parts requests
- Order and source parts when required
- Receive, check and correctly store incoming stock
- Update internal systems and maintain accurate parts records
- Assist with stock control and inventory management
- Complete general administration and paperwork
- Liaise with technicians and other departments regarding parts requirements
- Work closely with the Parts Supervisor to ensure an efficient parts operation
- Maintain a clean, organised and accurate parts department
- Previous experience working with parts within a mechanical environment
- Experience with in automotive, commercial vehicles, plant, heavy machinery, material handling or a similar sector
- Good administration and computer skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Parts ordering or stock control experience would be advantageous
- Ability to prioritise workload within a busy environment
- Good communication and team-working skills
Positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
