Buyer Righton Blackburns Centre

• Manage stock levels to achieve agreed stock turn targets and meet forecast demand.
• Develop purchasing strategies to deliver cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
• Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms and supply agreements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring quality and service standards.
• Monitor market trends, pricing and supply risks to identify purchasing opportunities.
• Manage stock replenishment using the re-order system.
• Identify and implement solutions for slow-moving, excess and obsolete (E&O) stock.
• Work closely with internal teams to align purchasing with business requirements.
• Maintain accurate supplier records and identify alternative sources of supply.
• Manage CBAM requirements in line with government regulations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards and health and safety requirements.

• Proven experience in procurement or buying, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to analyse costs, market trends and stock performance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing systems.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement best practices.
