We are seeking to appoint a cleaner.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 4pm-6pm, 10 hours per week, term‑time plus cleaning during school holidays.
City Road Primary School is seeking a reliable, hardworking cleaner to join our cleaning team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our school environment is safe, clean and welcoming for all pupils, staff and visitors.
This is an important position in supporting high standards of hygiene and safeguarding across the school.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely
- Ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards
- Reporting any maintenance or safeguarding concerns to the site team
- A positive, hardworking attitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and reliability
- Understanding of basic health & safety practices (training will be provided)
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016); therefore, the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement.
