MOT Tester (Birmingham)

Our client is a well‑established, family‑run business seeking an MOT Tester to join their dedicated team.

Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, plus alternate Saturday mornings 8:30 am – 2 pm.

• Basic Salary:
  Up to £34,000 (negotiable based on experience)
• On‑Target Earnings (OTE): £38,000+
• Bonus Potential:
  Performance‑based bonus & optional overtime available

• Valid Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence with the DVSA, up‑to‑date annual training record, and passed the assessment.
• Full driving licence.
• Previous experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician is beneficial but not essential; brand training will be provided.
• Experience meeting compliance standards across Health & Safety and quality.

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA guidelines and regulations.
• Accurately identify and report vehicle faults and defects.
• Perform basic servicing and maintenance work when required (if you are a Technician).
• Ensure all vehicles meet road safety and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each MOT test.
• Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues about any issues found.
• Keep the workshop clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Support the wider workshop team as needed.
