Office​/Train Cleaner

Apply today to work as an Office/Train Cleaner for our client - a major UK long-distance train operating company connecting Scotland, Wales, and key English regions like the South West, Midlands, and North East.

Staffline is recruiting Cleaners in Birmingham.

Multiple locations/travel: (Cross Country Cannon House) 5th Floor, Cannon House B4 6BS
, and Lamp rock (West end of Platform 1 at Birmingham New Street Station), and Birmingham New Street general trains.

The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour.

This is a full-time role. Applicants will need to be flexible to work Monday to Sunday, working a range of hours; shifts range from 6am to 9:30pm.

Your Time at Work

Cleaning staff are to perform a range of cleaning duties, including but not limited to:

- Office cleaning- maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation across work areas, meeting rooms, and communal zones
- General cleaning of trains, both in transit and turnaround
- Waste collection and disposal
- Floor cleaning (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing)
- Window and glass cleaning
- Disinfection of high-touch surfaces
- Replenishment of cleaning supplies (soap, hand towels, toilet paper)
- Deep cleaning tasks as required
- Any other cleaning duties as specified by the client

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will show you are reliable, have good attention to detail, be adaptable, and have a strong work ethic, with previous cleaning experience in office-based settings.

You will have a strong understanding of train routes and be able to navigate real-time railway updates.

You must be able to travel between locations.

Applicants will be able to work under pressure and timed conditions.

A valid in-date DBS check is required.
