Responsive Maintenance Team (WPS) – West Midlands

Join WPS! We support communities by delivering repairs, maintenance and essential services to residents across the region. As a Scheduler, you'll help keep our operations running smoothly by coordinating works, supporting engineers and ensuring productivity stays on track.

Due to winning a new contract with BCC, we are expanding our Responsive Maintenance team.

We have opportunities available for both full-time and part-time roles. Whether you're looking for a full-time career opportunity or a flexible part-time position that fits around your lifestyle and commitments, we'd love to hear from you.

Opportunities Available

Full-Time Position (40 hours per week)

Part-Time Position (16 hours per week)

The part-time opportunity is ideal if you're seeking greater flexibility while still being part of a busy and supportive team.

What you'll do
  • Plan and manage operative diaries to maximise productivity across a multi‑disciplined workforce
  • Keep work‑in‑progress low and aligned with performance targets
  • Produce weekly/monthly performance and productivity reports
  • Liaise with supervisors, site teams, colleagues and the client to deliver an efficient service
  • Communicate clearly via phone and email, keeping customers and partners updated
  • Ensure all planning aligns with Health & Safety standards
What you'll bring
  • Strong organisational and diary management skills
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal)
  • Confident using Excel, Word, Outlook and reporting tools
  • Ability to prioritise, problem‑solve and work independently
  • Understanding of maintenance/property management and commercial awareness
  • Ability to monitor both direct labour and subcontractor performance
  • Numeracy, attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (desirable)
