Location: Solihull, West Midlands

Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner)

Salary: £25,000 – £29,000 per annum (DOE)

The Role: An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and highly skilled School Caretaker to join a high-achieving secondary school in Solihull
. As a vital member of the premises team, you will ensure that the school site remains a safe, secure, and inspiring environment for both students and staff. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of site presentation and operational safety.

• Site Security: Managing the daily opening and securing of the school buildings, including the oversight of advanced CCTV and intruder alarm systems.

• Facilities Maintenance: Executing a wide range of DIY tasks, from minor plumbing and carpentry to painting and decorating, ensuring all repairs are finished to a high standard.

• Compliance & Safety: Conducting statutory health and safety checks, including fire alarm testing, water hygiene monitoring (Legionella), and emergency lighting inspections.

• Porterage & Support: Coordinating the setup of school halls for exams, assemblies, and evening community events, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
