Assistant Building Services Supervisor

We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hands‑on Assistant Building Services Supervisor to support the day‑to‑day management of our school premises. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced facilities, maintenance, or site professional who takes pride in creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Working closely with the Building Services Supervisor, you will help ensure that the school's buildings, grounds, and facilities are maintained to a high standard while supporting health and safety compliance across the site.

Enhanced DBS Required For This Role.

25 HOURS PER WEEK- 1.15pm to 6.15pm

• Assist with the day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of the school site.
• Carry out basic repairs, maintenance, and decorating tasks.
• Support the supervision of contractors working on site.
• Help ensure the security of the premises, including opening and closing the school.
• Conduct regular health and safety checks and report any concerns.
• Assist with planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Support setting up rooms and facilities for school events, meetings, and activities.
• Monitor site cleanliness and standards across the buildings and grounds.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and school procedures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.

• Previous experience within facilities management, building maintenance, caretaking, or site services.
• Good practical maintenance and DIY skills.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• Flexible approach to working hours when required
