Are you a seasoned FP&A leader with a proven track record in driving commercial performance through insight and planning? We are seeking an experienced Commercial FP&A Director to provide crucial leadership during a period of transition and change. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the client’s forecasting and decision‑support agenda, partnering closely with the executive team to deliver immediate impact.

• Commercial FP&A Leadership: Own the FP&A agenda, ensuring planning, forecasting and performance management directly support commercial objectives and long‑term goals.
• Strategic Commercial Analysis & Insights: Deliver actionable insights on revenue, margin, pricing, customer/product profitability, and new market opportunities to guide executive decision‑making.
• Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead short‑ and long‑range planning cycles, including annual budget, rolling forecasts and scenario planning, ensuring assumptions are robust and aligned to strategy.
• Performance Reporting & Executive Packs: Build and enhance weekly/monthly performance packs, KPIs and dashboards for CEO/CFO/Board audiences, providing clear narrative on drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Business Partnering: Act as a strategic finance partner to Sales, Marketing, Product and Operations, challenging performance, supporting trade‑offs, and driving value‑creating actions.
• Scenario & Investment Modelling: Develop models for growth initiatives, pricing changes, product launches, resourcing decisions and investment cases, highlighting sensitivities and outcomes.
• Process & Tool Improvement: Strengthen FP&A processes, cadences and tools (forecasting accuracy, standardised reporting, automation where possible).
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead and support the FP&A / commercial finance team, ensuring stability, development and continuity through change.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key advisor to senior stakeholders, translating complex analysis into clear recommendations and aligning teams behind the numbers.

Proven experience as an FP&A Director / Head of FP&A / Commercial Finance Director or similar senior planning and performance role, ideally in a commercial environment.

Strong commercial acumen with a track record of improving revenue, margin and business performance through insight‑led planning.

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Deep expertise in forecasting, budgeting, long‑range planning, KPI design, and scenario modelling.
• Ability to deliver high‑impact commercial insight and influence strategy at executive level.
• Demonstrated success leading and mentoring FP&A / commercial finance teams through periods of change.
• Hands‑on, proactive approach with the ability to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to simplify complexity and drive action.
