Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager for a leading pharmaceutical company in the UK.

This position is remote with very occasional travel to site. This is a 6 month initial contract, with high possibility of extension or permanent hire after.

Required Experience & Capabilities

  • Demonstrated success as a Senior Project Manager within the pharmaceutical sector or a comparable regulated industry.
  • Strong expertise in contract, budget, purchase order, and invoice management.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities, with proven capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects and stakeholder groups.
  • Confident operating cross-functionally with teams such as procurement, compliance, legal, finance, and other project managers.
  • Practical experience using Smartsheet, Coupa, or equivalent project / contract management platforms.
  • Ability to coordinate and support review committees (e.g., Local Funding Request Review Committee) including preparation of documentation, meeting logistics, and follow-up actions.
  • Comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrating initiative and sound problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical organisational structures, particularly the interface between medical and commercial functions.
  • Prior project management experience within a pharmaceutical company.
  • Track record of serving as the operational “glue” for cross-functional teams (e.g., medical, commercial, marketing, market access).
  • Experience working effectively in remote or hybrid teams, with occasional travel as required.
  • Proactive, committed, and team-oriented mindset, viewing themselves as an integral contributor rather than a support role.
  • Motivated by mission-driven work, particularly in areas that improve outcomes for patients with rare diseases.
  • “Connector” personality – enjoys driving alignment, ensuring accountability, and maintaining project momentum.
  • Able to remain visible, communicative, and responsive while working remotely.
  • Collaborative, low-ego approach with strong relationship-building skills across internal stakeholders (e.g., medical, commercial, legal, compliance, finance, procurement).
