About the Job
As Head of Quality (Learning & Skills), you will lead the quality, curriculum, and compliance agenda across Apprenticeships, Adult Skills, and Employability provision. You will ensure that teaching, learning, assessment, and learner support consistently meet high standards and regulatory expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and inspiring teams across Quality, Safeguarding, IQA, and Curriculum
* Driving self-assessment, quality improvement planning, and continuous improvement
* Acting as a key Ofsted nominee, ensuring inspection readiness and compliance
* Developing and embedding robust OTLA strategies
* Ensuring inclusive curriculum design and high-quality learner support, including SEND and disadvantaged learners
* Monitoring performance and quality metrics using data-led insight
* Producing high-quality reports for Senior Leadership and the Board
* Working closely with operational leaders to embed a culture of excellence and accountability
This role offers strategic influence alongside operational oversight, making it ideal for a quality leader who thrives on impact and accountability.
Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this Head of Quality role, you will bring:
* Proven senior leadership experience within quality and compliance in Apprenticeships, Adult Education, or Work-Based Learning
* In-depth knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, inspection processes, and regulatory requirements
* Demonstrable experience leading SARs and QIPs at organisational level
* Strong understanding of curriculum design, IQA, safeguarding, and quality assurance
* Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills
* A highly analytical approach with the ability to use data to drive quality strategy
* Confidence operating at Board and Executive level
