A major international insurance brokerage is creating a Regional Managing Director role for the Midlands
, likely based in Birmingham or nearby. This is a senior position with autonomy, resources, and clear backing — part of a wider UK growth plan.

You’ll lead the expanding Midlands corporate insurance proposition, recruit and develop your team, and decide how to deliver growth in a supported, structured way.

• Autonomy – run the Midlands region day-to-day, make decisions close to the market, and shape strategy
• Team – recruit and lead your own brokers and client managers

• Lead the Midlands corporate insurance proposition from the front
• Target mid-market and upper mid-market clients (£25k+ fees or commission)
• Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team
• Drive disciplined growth while maintaining governance and risk standards
• Represent the business with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders

• Experienced in mid-corporate insurance
• Used to leading or building teams
• Comfortable balancing growth with risk and governance
• Either an established senior leader or a high-performing director ready to step up
