This is a senior appointment within the Restructuring & Insolvency team, focused on leading complex engagements, winning new work, and developing client and intermediary relationships. For the right individual, there is scope to take insolvency appointments.
Responsibilities- Lead a portfolio of corporate restructuring and insolvency assignments, ensuring high-quality delivery and robust risk management.
- Advise boards, lenders and stakeholders on options and strategies across solvent, distressed and insolvent scenarios.
- Take ownership of case strategy, planning, and stakeholder management from scoping through to completion.
- Drive business development activity: build and grow a network of intermediaries/referrers and convert opportunities into mandates.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the wider practice to identify cross-sell opportunities and deliver joined-up solutions.
- Oversee assignment governance: budgets, timelines, resourcing and reporting—ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.
- Contribute to team leadership, including coaching, performance management, and supporting progression and retention.
- Support wider service-line strategy and business planning to grow revenues and enhance market profile.
- Share technical expertise internally, helping to maintain best practice, consistent methodology and quality standards.
- Extensive experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency within practice.
- Proven track record of winning work, developing relationships and building a sustainable pipeline.
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial judgement, stakeholder management and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent project management skills with a consistent focus on outcomes, quality and risk.
- Results-driven mindset with strategic thinking and the ability to influence at senior levels.
- (Desirable) Appointment-taking experience, or a clear pathway to taking appointments.
