Senior Project Manager – Turner & Townsend

Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to advance into a senior role, working on major infrastructure projects across transportation, utilities and highways within our Midlands team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for end‑to‑end service delivery for large or complex projects.
- Act as the key day‑to‑day client interface, ensuring client objectives are met and projects are delivered to time, cost and quality targets.
- Advising at a strategic level at project inception, providing advice on approaches to achieve client objectives.
- Prepare and maintain definitions of project requirements and overall success criteria, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
- Establish effective governance, processes and systems, develop and maintain schedules and master project plan.
- Manage development of the project in accordance with approved plans, targets, budgets and forecasts.
- Develop and implement resource and procurement plans, lead and facilitate cross‑functional teams.
- Monitor performance using KPI’s and apply performance management techniques.
- Manage change control, risk, safety, health and environmental issues and report on project progress.
- Lead stakeholder interfacing with client and other consultants at all project stages.
- Degree qualified (Civil Engineering or related field).
- Experience on large scheme projects (£100m+) and project sizes typically £10m‑£25m.
- Preferably chartered or qualified with ICE, APM, RICS or similar.
- Projects delivered to quality, time and budget.
- Client objectives and conditions of appointment met.
- Effective team leadership and relationship development.
- Business development opportunities identified and acted upon.
- Financial status of projects monitored and controlled.
