Evri Group is the UK’s premier parcel delivery business, uniting four distinct brands—Evri, Evri Premium, a network of DHL, UK Mail and Irish e-commerce specialist Coll-8—to deliver more than 1 billion parcels and letters annually across the UK and to over 200 global destinations. With 12,000 colleagues, 30,000 couriers and drivers, 8,000 vehicles, and a nationwide network of hubs, depots and fulfilment centres, we combine over 50 years of expertise with the scale and flexibility to support everyone from casual senders to SMEs and major retailers.

Driven by our friendly, ambitious and diverse people, we are passionate about delivering exceptional service and offer exciting opportunities across the Evri Group.

About the Role

We’re looking for a driven and experienced Hub Manager to support the Head of Hub in leading a high‑performing, safe, and compliant operation. This is a key leadership role where you’ll play a pivotal part in delivering operational excellence, cost control, and outstanding service to our customers.

You’ll help shape the future of the hub by driving strategic improvements, leading teams, and ensuring we consistently meet and exceed service level agreements — all while maintaining a strong focus on safety through our Go Home Safe culture.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage Operations Managers to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality hub performance
  • Oversee 24‑hour operations, ensuring compliance, safety, and service delivery standards are met
  • Support the Head of Hub in delivering strategic plans, including peak planning and long‑term resource forecasting (6–12 months)
  • Use data and insights to drive performance, identify trends, and improve operational decision‑making
  • Take ownership of cost control, demonstrating strong financial leadership
  • Plan and manage resource allocation across all shifts, including agency labour and 7‑day management coverage
  • Drive operational consistency and continuous improvement across service, cost, quality, and compliance
  • Lead engagement through regular team briefings, 1:1s, and performance reviews
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams (Transport, Commercial, HR, H&S) and external stakeholders
  • Lead on Health & Safety, promoting a strong Go Home Safe culture across the hub
  • Support incident management, risk assessments, and development of safe systems of work
  • Deputise for the Head of Hub at both operational and strategic levels when required
  • Create a customer‑focused environment, delivering service excellence and commercial solutions
What We’re Looking For Qualifications
  • Strong Maths and English skills (written and verbal)
  • PC literate
  • Full UK driving licence
Experience & Knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of hub operations, processes, and best practices
  • Proven experience in a similar operational leadership role
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into effective processes and procedures
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
Skills & Behaviours
  • Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills
  • Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing teams
  • Confident using internal systems and operational tools
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to work independently
  • A motivational and inspiring leader who drives engagement and performance
  • Ability to influence through data, insight, and collaboration
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement across safety, service, cost, and compliance
Evri Group for everyone

We’recommitted to building a truly inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can bring – and be – their whole authentic selves.

We’re also on a mission to be the UK’s most accessible delivery business. We’ve partnered with Scope, the leading disability equality charity, to improve deliveries for millions of customers and give extra support to our colleagues and couriers who need it.

Collaboration is key because we work better together. Bring passion, ambition and an open mind, and in return we’ll give you respect, flexibility and a place where you can thrive.
