Overview
The role is to develop and lead technical disciplines within Atkins&Rsili Infrastructure, focusing on water and wastewater infrastructure services, including drainage design, surface water management and digital tool integration.
LocationOpen for the following offices:
Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Derby, Edinburgh, Epsom, Glasgow, London, Peterborough and Manchester.
The Professional Head of Technical Disciplines will: develop technical strategies, lead service line expansion, act as technical expert, represent the company at industry events, develop digital tools and support TDLs and practice managers in delivery and strategy.
Responsibilities- Identify and lead aspects of Technical Assurance and Excellence.
- Develop strategies, plans and structures aligned with industry needs and trends.
- Act as a technical expert in your field with clients.
- Represent Atkins&Rsili at industry events.
- Lead development and implementation of digital tools.
- Support TDLs and the Practice Management team in delivery and strategy development.
- Drive staff development initiatives.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and teams across the business.
- Build organisational and sub‑structures across all regions.
- Engage with Universities and Technical Colleges to advance knowledge sharing.
- Deep understanding of the UK Water Market and clients.
- Credible technical experience in one of the technical disciplines.
- Ability to build networks across the business and partners.
- Excellent communication skills, able to negotiate and influence at senior levels.
- Strong business acumen.
- Strategic thinker aligned to market trends.
