Service Manager – Birmingham (Permanent)
Step into a rewarding permanent role with a respected supported housing provider delivering accommodation and support services to adults with complex needs across Birmingham. This Service Manager position offers the opportunity to lead a large, dispersed supported accommodation service, managing a team of dedicated support staff while ensuring high‑quality services are delivered across multiple sites.
You'll be joining an experienced organisation committed to supporting people affected by homelessness, mental ill health and substance misuse. With responsibility for over 400 supported accommodation units across Birmingham, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager looking to lead a large operational service and develop a high‑performing team.
Responsibilities- Managing the day‑to‑day delivery of a large supported accommodation service
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of approximately 14–15 staff
- Overseeing around 400 supported accommodation units across multiple buildings
- Ensuring high standards of safeguarding, compliance and service delivery
- Working closely with local authorities and external partner organisations
- Supporting recruitment, performance management and continuous service improvement
- Proven experience managing supported housing or homelessness services
- Experience leading multi‑site operational teams
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and supporting people with complex needs
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities within a fast‑paced environment
- Permanent contract
- Full‑time hours, Monday–Friday

Location:
This role is based in Birmingham city‑centre, with responsibility for supported accommodation services across the city. Birmingham benefits from excellent transport links via the M6, M5 and M42, together with extensive rail, bus and tram networks, making travel across the service straightforward.
