Position:
Head of Directional Drilling (New Division Lead).

Location:

UK Wide – travel required. Compensation: £80,000-£120,000 plus car allowance, bonus, healthcare, 25 days holiday, pension, and autonomy to build a brand‑new division.

An experienced directional drilling professional is invited to own and build a brand‑new division within a fast‑growing civil engineering business that is bringing its drilling operations in‑house for the first time. The role gives full autonomy to select, lead and grow the team, set strategy, win new work, and drive commercial success across utilities infrastructure, renewables, and connections with ICPs and NAVs from South Coast to Yorkshire.

• Lead and build a brand‑new directional drilling division from the ground up.
• Price and win new work across the existing customer base.
• Travel UK wide, from South Coast to Yorkshire.
• Provide good autonomy and flexibility to the division.

• Strong background in the directional drilling industry.
• Senior leadership experience.
• Capability to head a department and drive growth.
• Commercial understanding of pricing drilling jobs.
• Comfortable with UK‑wide travel.
