We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial management and administration of a major Government contract, with a focus on NEC4 and CCS frameworks. This role will play a key part in the commercial stewardship of Government accounts, ensuring robust commercial processes, compliance, and contract performance.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a commercially focused professional with experience in facilities management contract environments who can manage contractual, financial, and stakeholder responsibilities while driving commercial value and mitigating risk across the account.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the commercial administration and performance of Government contracts.
- Review contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance and resolving contractual issues.
- Prepare and submit contractual notices, change requests, quotations, variations, and claims.
- Monitor contract performance against key milestones, deliverables, and performance indicators.
- Support financial management activities including budgets, forecasts, contract variations, and commercial reporting.
- Utilise contract management systems to maintain documentation, analyse data, and produce reports.
- Build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify contractual and commercial risks, recommending and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Infrequent travel to SQB, Westminster and Leeds, as required
- Management responsibility for a team of approximately 40 colleagues, including 5 direct reports
- Proven experience in commercial contract management - ideally within the Facilities Management sector
- QS Degree or equivalent (desirable)
- Familiarity with NEC contracts or equivalent frameworks
- Strong commercial, analytical, and data interpretation skills
- Experience engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem
- solving skills
- Competent user of Microsoft Office
- Experience with CCS contract frameworks (desirable)
- Experience with National Schedule of Rates (NSR) - preferred
- Experience with Maximo or Tririga CAFM systems (desirable)
- Full clean driving licence
