Domus are searching for an experienced Registered Manager to lead an established 8-bed residential service in Moseley, Birmingham, supporting adults with acquired brain injuries, mental health needs and some mild autism.
This is an exciting opportunity for a warm, personable and relationship-focused manager to take the service into its next phase. The service has recently undergone a significant period of improvement, with quality now in a very strong position following an Outstanding outcome at a recent internal inspection/audit.
With the foundations firmly in place, the focus now is on building occupancy, developing the team and strengthening relationships with commissioners and referral partners.
About the Service:The service currently supports five adults within an 8-bed residential setting.
The home provides person-centred support to adults with complex needs, with a strong focus on promoting independence, choice, dignity and quality of life.
The service has made significant progress in recent years and is now looking for a Registered Manager who can build on this success and help it reach its full potential.
A key part of the role will be developing strong relationships with local commissioners and referral partners to identify the right referrals and increase occupancy, while continuing to maintain the excellent quality standards already established.
The Role:As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership, quality and day-to-day management of the service.
- Leading, supporting and developing the staff team.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging team culture.
- Ensuring high standards of person-centred care and support.
- Maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and best practice.
- Working closely with commissioners and external professionals to develop referral opportunities.
- Supporting the service to grow occupancy with appropriate placements.
- Building strong relationships with families, professionals and other stakeholders.
- Promoting independence, choice, dignity and respect.
- Managing performance, quality and safeguarding effectively.
- Working closely with the Regional Manager, Divisional Manager and specialist clinical colleagues.
- Continuing to build on the service's recent improvements and strong quality performance.
We're looking for an experienced Registered Manager who is not only strong operationally, but is also a natural relationship builder and people leader.
You'll be someone who is visible, approachable and able to engage a team effectively — helping staff understand the reasons behind the work they do and creating a culture where people feel valued and motivated.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within residential care.
- Experience managing services supporting adults with complex needs.
- A strong understanding of CQC requirements, legislation and best practice.
- Experience leading and developing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
