We're currently supporting a leading accountancy and business advisory firm in Birmingham that is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Director to strengthen its regional tax leadership team.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced corporate tax professional who enjoys combining strategic advisory work, client relationship management, and team leadership.
The roleYou will manage a substantial corporate client portfolio while working closely with Tax Partners to deliver high-level advisory services. Alongside overseeing regional compliance processes, you'll lead and develop the corporate tax team, ensuring both technical excellence and strong commercial performance.
Key responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, acting as a trusted strategic adviser
- Oversee the corporate tax compliance process across the region
- Support Tax Partners on complex advisory projects
- Lead, mentor and develop the corporate tax team
- Conduct appraisals and provide coaching to senior team members
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular contact and meetings
- Contribute to business development and regional growth initiatives
- CTA / ACA / ACCA / CA qualified (or equivalent)
- Extensive Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax experience within practice
- Proven experience operating at Senior Manager / Director level
- Strong technical expertise with the ability to research complex legislation
- Confident leading teams and managing senior client relationships
- Commercially aware with a strategic mindset
