Registered Manager:
Children's Residential Care
Location: Heald Green, South Manchester (SK8 area)
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience + performance benefits)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm, flexible management presence + on-call rota

About Our Home / Our HubLocated in Heald Green, South Manchester, our brand-new residential service is a high-specification, welcoming home designed to provide stability, comfort, and space for young people with complex emotional and social needs. Featuring en-suite staff bedrooms and office, it offers a secure, homely base for our children while giving you and your team the comfortable, professional spaces you need to lead effectively.
The Role:What you'll be doing
You'll hold full operational leadership of this new home, establishing high-quality care practice, regulatory compliance, and a nurturing therapeutic ethos.
Your day-to-day as a Registered Manager will involve:
- Therapeutic Leadership: Championing a person-centred, relational approach, working with psychotherapists to formulate live Behaviour Support Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Team Development & Culture: Recruiting, supervising, and delivering reflective practice sessions to maintain high expectations across your care team.
- Regulatory Excellence: Leading on Regulation 45 quality reviews, managing Ofsted inspection readiness, and overseeing the service budget and resources.
Essential:
- The Background: Proven, established track record as a leader (at Deputy Manager level or above) in a children's residential care setting (minimum 2 years' relevant experience within the last 5 years).
- The Qualifications & Compliance: Already hold or be actively working towards the NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), and be prepared to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
- The Logistics: Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Established experience as a Registered Manager, or already fully qualified with the NVQ Level 5 Diploma.
