We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Director - UK Procurement Service Lead to establish, develop and lead a new procurement consultancy service within our Project, Programme & Commercial Management (PMCM) business, within the Civil Infrastructure & Utilities (CI&U) team.

This is a strategic leadership role for a highly credible procurement professional who is passionate about building services, developing client relationships and creating a market-leading procurement offering. Working from either Birmingham or London
, you will take ownership of defining the vision, capability and growth strategy for the service, positioning WSP as a trusted procurement advisor across both public and private sector clients.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and growing a new service line, identifying market opportunities, winning work and delivering high-quality procurement solutions that support some of the UK's most complex infrastructure, development and programme delivery challenges.

You will:

• Lead the development and growth of WSP's UK PMCM Procurement Service offering.
• Create and implement a business plan to establish a sustainable and commercially successful offering.
• Develop trusted relationships with key clients and stakeholders across multiple sectors.
• Lead business development, identify opportunities and support major bid and pursuit activities.
• Provide strategic procurement expertise across programme, project and commercial commissions.
• Build, mentor and grow a high-performing procurement team as the service expands.
• Collaborate with colleagues across PMCM and the wider WSP business to provide integrated client solutions.
• Champion excellence in delivery, innovation, inclusion, wellbeing and health and safety.

• Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS).
• Significant experience leading procurement functions, teams or consultancy services within the infrastructure, construction, programme management or professional services sectors.
• A proven track record of developing and winning new business and maintaining senior client relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate market opportunities into sustainable growth.
• Experience delivering strategic procurement advice across complex programmes and projects.
• Demonstrable leadership experience, including developing and mentoring teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• A collaborative approach with a passion for innovation, inclusion and continuous improvement.
