CNC Turner – Section Leader

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner – Section Leader to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mazak Turner looking to step into a leadership role while remaining hands-on.

The Role

As CNC Turner / Section Leader, you will be responsible for leading a small turning section while programming, setting, and operating Mazak CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls.

Key Responsibilities

* Programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines (Mazak / Mazatrol)

* Leading and supporting a small team within the turning section

* Ensuring production targets and quality standards are met

* First-off inspections and ongoing quality checks

* Problem-solving machining or production issues

* Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient work area

Requirements

* Proven experience as a CNC Turner

* Strong knowledge of Mazak machines and Mazatrol programming

* Experience in programming, setting, and operating

* Previous section leader / senior machinist experience (preferred)

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* High attention to detail and quality
