Flame Cutter​/Profiler

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Flame Cutter/Profiler in Aston. You will be required to operate flame cutting and profiling equipment to cut steel plates and profiles to precise specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety procedures.

Hours of work: 4pm-4am Monday to Wednesday/ 4pm-12amThursday

Pay rate: £15-£16 per hour - Plus £80 per week night shift allowance averaging to £38,480K

As a Flame Cutter, your duties will include:

Operate flame cutting machines and profiling equipment to cut steel plates according to drawings and work orders.
Interpret technical drawings and cutting lists accurately.
Set up and calibrate machinery for optimal performance.
Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including PPE requirements.
Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
Record production data and report any issues or defects promptly.

To be successful in the role of Flame Cutter, your duties will include:

Previous experience operating flame cutting or profiling machines in a steel or fabrication environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Knowledge of steel grades and material handling.
Basic mechanical aptitude for machine setup and troubleshooting.
Understanding of health and safety practices in an industrial setting.

Desirable:

Experience with CNC flame cutting machines.
Forklift or overhead crane license.
Knowledge of plasma cutting processes.
