Job Title: Sewing Machinist

Reports To: Production Supervisor / Upholstery Team Leader
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £13.80 per hour (£27,986 per annum, based on a 39-hour week)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift: Monday to Friday (Day Shift)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist to join a skilled upholstery and production team based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

You will play a key role in producing high-quality stitched components for a range of soft furnishings. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, pride in their work, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machines (single and twin needle) to produce upholstery covers for furniture.

Work from technical drawings, templates, and patterns to ensure precision and consistency.

Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.

Collaborate closely with the upholstery and production teams to meet daily production targets.

Maintain a safe, tidy, and efficient workspace in accordance with health and safety procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as a Sewing Machinist
, ideally within the furniture or upholstery industry.

Skilled in using industrial sewing machines (single and twin needle).

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Ability to work efficiently in a team environment to meet production targets.

Reliable, punctual, and proactive approach to work.
