Overview

We are recruiting for a skilled MIG Welder to join a specialist metal fabrication business in Coventry. The company produces high‑quality architectural metalwork, bespoke steel fabrications, and custom‑built metal structures, offering long-term career stability for the right person. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity within a growing, well‑established engineering environment known for precision workmanship and high manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out high‑quality MIG welding on mild steel components and fabricated structures.
Work from detailed engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and consistency on bespoke projects.
Complete fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, drilling, assembling, and finishing metalwork.
Ensure all welds meet required quality, strength, and visual standards.
Collaborate with the fabrication team to meet production schedules and support project deadlines.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised work area in line with health & safety guidelines.

Requirements

Proven experience as a MIG Welder in an engineering, fabrication, or structural/architectural metalwork setting.
Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings and fabrication schematics.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high‑quality, precise welds.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Reliable, punctual, and available for full‑time Monday-Friday working hours.
