Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail‑driven Plastic Fabricator to join a busy and growing manufacturing environment in Wolverhampton. This role involves producing high‑quality fabricated plastic components using a range of machinery, tooling, and fabrication techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work from technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate plastic components using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
Work with a variety of materials including acrylic, PVC, polycarbonate, and other thermoplastics
Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Carry out cutting, bending, bonding, forming, routing, and finishing operations
Operate CNC/laser cutting equipment where required
Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace
Work collaboratively with production and design teams to meet deadlines
Perform basic maintenance on tools and machinery
Follow all health & safety procedures and company protocols
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience as a Plastic Fabricator, Fabrication Operative, Acrylic Fabricator, or similar
Strong understanding of plastic materials and fabrication processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience with flame polishing, bonding, heat bending, or similar fabrication techniques
Competent with hand tools and workshop machinery
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
