Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Salary: £52,719.28

We are supporting a fast‑paced, high‑performing manufacturing business in Birmingham that is looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with hands‑on exposure to heavy industrial plant machinery. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and a minimum of one year of UK manufacturing experience.

• Maintenance and repair of heavy industrial machinery including furnaces, forging equipment, vacuum systems, milling machines, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• General maintenance of plant facilities across the site
• Servicing manual lathes, milling machines, planers, bar peelers, and similar equipment
• Conducting both planned and reactive maintenance
• Confidently carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Stripping, rebuilding, installing, and commissioning machinery
• Supporting continuous improvement and ensuring smooth plant operation

• Minimum 2 years’ experience maintaining heavy industrial plant machinery
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience in plant facilities maintenance
• Welding and fitting experience
• Competent in electrical and mechanical diagnostics
• Experience installing and commissioning industrial machinery
• Hold an electrical or mechanical qualification such as NVQ or HND
• CNC maintenance experience is beneficial but not essential
• Strong communication skills with a reliable and flexible approach
