A well‑established and forward‑thinking precision engineering business is currently seeking an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter / Programmer to join their modern and growing manufacturing facility. You will be working on Fanuc control Star and Citizen sliding head lathes, producing high‑quality precision components for the aerospace, defence, and other high‑performance industries.

This is a hands‑on role where you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC sliding head machines, working from technical drawings, and using a range of gauging and inspection equipment to ensure components meet tight tolerances and strict quality standards.

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC sliding head lathes
• Working on Star and Citizen machines with Fanuc controls
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately
• Using inspection and gauging equipment to ensure precision and quality
• Producing components to tight tolerances in line with customer requirements
• Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department

• Proven experience as a CNC Sliding Head Setter / Programmer
• Experience working on Star and/or Citizen sliding head lathes
• Strong understanding of Fanuc control systems
• Ability to program, set, and operate independently
• Confident working from engineering drawings and using inspection tools
