Location: Bournville
Our client is a leading manufacturing organisation specialising in the production of high-quality plastic components using advanced injection moulding technologies. They are seeking an Injection Moulding Technician to support production activities, optimise processes and ensure the delivery of high-quality components through efficient and reliable manufacturing methods.
Key Responsibilities
As an Injection Moulding Technician, you will be responsible for setting, operating and maintaining injection moulding processes to ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery requirements are achieved.
Setting up and conditioning injection mould tools to meet production requirements.
Running moulding production orders using established programmes and process settings.
Monitoring production quality and ensuring right-first-time manufacturing.
Controlling processing parameters to meet product specifications and industry standards.
Attending machine alarms and faults, implementing effective corrective actions.
Carrying out routine maintenance and fault finding on injection moulding machines and tooling.
Supporting basic electrical fault finding and troubleshooting activities.
Maintaining accurate production records to ensure full traceability.
Preparing auxiliary equipment, jigs, fixtures and assembly equipment for production.
Carrying out quality inspections in line with company standards.
Qualifications & Experience
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Injection Moulding Technician.
IMT Level 2 and IMT Level 3 qualifications.
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
Experience setting and optimising injection moulding processes.
Knowledge of tooling trials and process optimisation.
Experience with injection moulding machine maintenance and fault finding.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
