Production Engineer

Are you an experienced Production Engineer looking to join a manufacturing company based in Aston, Birmingham? You will have experience of working within a manufacturing environment. As a Production Engineer you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, looking at root cause analysis, pushing important problems for review and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Salary £40K - £55K. Working Monday to Friday with core hours 8:00 to 16:00 and flexibility on start and finish times.

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce production costs.
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components.
• Train and mentor production staff on new processes and techniques; support Engineering technicians.
• Analyse data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and take action.
• Plan and schedule production activities.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Design, troubleshoot, and optimise production machinery and equipment.

Monday to Friday. Core hours 8:00–16:00 with flexibility on start and finish times, ensuring weekly hours are met.

• Apprentice trained (NVQ3) or a minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards.
