OverviewEMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Birmingham that is currently in the market for a 5-Axis CNC Programmer / Machinist to join their company permanently.

Operating with a tight-knit, expert team, the company is undergoing exciting changes, including an imminent relocation to a brand-new, modern, state-of-the-art facility featuring excellent employee amenities and dedicated parking.

Due to internal changes, a pending factory relocation, and off the back of continued success and investment in high-performance machinery, our client is seeking an experienced 5‑axis CNC Programmer / Machinist to maximise the potential of their newly acquired assets and lead their offline programming capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
As a 5-Axis CNC Programmer / Machinist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end manufacturing process of safety-critical components using their new high-performance Spinner machining centres.
- Create robust 5-axis CNC programs offline using Hyper Mill CAM software at the dedicated workstation attached to the machines.
- Prove out, set up, and run the programs safely and efficiently on new 5‑Axis Machinery.
- Work with a variety of machine controls, specifically navigating Heidenhain and/or FANUC operating systems.
- Collaborate with the team during the upcoming factory relocation to help establish efficient, lean workflows in the new facility.
- Proficiency working with Heidenhain and/or FANUC machine controls. (This is essential for this role)
- A proven track record in 5-axis offline CNC programming, with essential, hands‑on experience using Hyper Mill CAM software (this is a desirable requirement)
- Strong setting and operating capabilities on 5-axis CNC milling and/or turning centres.
- A strong background in precision engineering, confidently working to tight tolerances on complex parts.
