The Role as a Foundry Operative / Caster, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of continuous horizontal casting lines within the foundry. Working as part of a skilled team, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality copper alloy products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Making up heats in line with various copper alloy specifications.
  • Operating furnaces, including melting, skimming, and testing molten metal.
  • Calculating alloy additions using basic mathematical calculations.
  • Pecking, cleaning, and maintaining furnaces and casting areas.
  • Inspecting cast strip and monitoring product quality.
  • Unloading cast coils and booking products into the system.
  • Completing casting reports, production records, and FLT documentation.
  • Reporting operational issues to Team Leaders and Foundry Supervisors.
  • Adhering to all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
