An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Press Setter Operator to join a leading manufacturing business. Key Responsibilities- Set and operate power presses ranging from 20 to 250 tonnes.
- Produce high-quality components to engineering drawings and specified tolerances.
- Carry out tool changes, adjustments, and machine set-ups using the appropriate tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
- Perform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks using measuring equipment.
- Ensure all products are manufactured to specification and meet quality standards.
- Work closely with Production Coordinators and Engineers to maximise machine efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Adhere to production schedules and achieve daily production targets.
- Maintain accurate production and traceability documentation.
- Identify and report machine faults or production issues promptly.
- Support and assist with training colleagues where required.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and follow 5S principles.
- Promote and work in accordance with all Health & Safety procedures.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience operating and setting power presses within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with presses from 20T to 250T.
- The ability to read engineering drawings and manufacture components to tight tolerances.
- Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to carry out tooling changes and machine adjustments.
- Basic computer literacy.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English are desirable.

Monday
- Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Friday: 6:00am - 12:00pm
PM Shift
Monday
- Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Friday: 12:00pm - 6:00pm
