Want to work with high value and serious industrial machinery?

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team, working on a continental shift pattern and machining products to exacting customer specifications.

This is a hands-on role where precision, mechanical ability and attention to detail really matter. You’ll be setting and operating a range of CNC and conventional machinery, producing high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Commutable from:

-Birmingham, Walsall, Sutton Coldfield, Moseley, Halesowen, Aston, Willenhall, Wednesbury, Dudley, Solihull, Kingswinford and Tamworth

Duties

* Set and operate CNC milling and turning equipment, alongside other machinery.

* Machine and cut products to detailed drawings and specifications.

* Set tooling, adjust machine parameters and check equipment is correctly calibrated.

* Carry out dimensional and quality inspections using approved measuring equipment.

* Identify and record material and product references to maintain full traceability.

* Carry out routine machine checks, basic maintenance and fault finding.

* Safely handle and move materials using forklifts, cranes and lifting equipment – full training provided where required.

* Shift working – Days and Nights

Requirements

* Experience setting and operating CNC milling and/or turning machines in a manufacturing environment.

* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

* Experience with tooling selection, machine set-up and dimensional measurement.

* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.

* A good understanding of machining techniques and manufacturing best practice

* Forklift and/or crane experience would be advantageous, but full training can be provided.

* Happy to work shifts, days and nights
