General Operative - B31 Area
Location: B31 area
Hours: 07:00-16:00, Monday to Friday
Pay: £12.71 per hour, rising to £13.20 per hour following a successful trial period
Holiday:
28 days' annual leave, including bank holidays
Contract: Temporary to permanent
We are currently seeking a reliable General Operative to join a busy and expanding team based in the B31 area
. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is looking for a long-term role with the potential to secure a permanent position
.
The role is based within a warehouse and workshop environment and involves a variety of duties including drilling, assembling, manual handling, and general operative tasks
. We are looking for a flexible individual who is eager to contribute and comfortable undertaking a diverse range of responsibilities.
As a General Operative, your key responsibilities will include:
- Drilling materials and components using hand tools
- Assembling products and components to specified standards
- Performing general manual and warehouse duties
- Loading, unloading and relocating materials as required
- Preparing materials and components for assembly
- Following instructions and adhering to established processes
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Complying with company health and safety policies
- Collaborating with team members to meet daily targets
- Undertaking other general duties within the warehouse and workshop as necessary
The ideal candidate will be dependable, hardworking, and hands-on
, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop.
Previous experience in warehousing, manufacturing, assembly, production, engineering or a related field would be advantageous, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
