About the EmployerThis role involves standing for long periods, lifting engineering materials within safe limits, operating machinery and maintaining high standards of safety and precision. Applicants should enjoy practical, hands-on work and be committed to learning.
What You'll DoThe apprentice will learn every stage of the manufacturing process, including:
- Operating CNC lathes
- Machine set-up
- Measuring components using precision equipment
- Reading engineering drawings
- Deburring and finishing parts
- Recording inspection data
- Maintaining machinery
- Health & Safety procedures
- Lean manufacturing
- Supporting experienced machinists
- Learning production planning and workflow
The successful apprentice will gradually take responsibility for producing high-quality precision engineered components.
Training OutcomeSuccessful completion could lead to a permanent position as a CNC Machinist with opportunities to progress into CNC programming, process improvement, quality inspection, production planning or supervisory roles.

Overtime may be available depending on business requirements.
