CNC Miller & Turner
Location:
Dudley, West Midlands
Hours:
Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller & Turner to join a well-established precision engineering and manufacturing business in Dudley. Working within a modern machine shop, you will be responsible for the programming, setting, and operation of CNC milling and turning machines, producing high-quality precision components for a range of engineering sectors. The company offers extensive machining capabilities, modern tooling, and a quality-focused manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set, operate, and where required, program CNC milling and turning machines.
- Manufacture precision-engineered components to customer drawings and specifications.
- Work with a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and specialist alloys.
- Conduct first-off inspections and carry out in-process quality checks.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and tolerances.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining methods.
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and productivity.
- Ensure machines and work areas are kept clean, safe, and organized.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the machining department.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across manufacturing, fabrication, and inspection teams.
- Previous experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Turner, or CNC Machinist.
- Ability to program, set, and operate CNC machinery.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
- Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of Heidenhain, Fanuc, or similar CNC control systems would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work to tight tolerances.
- Flexible approach to workload and overtime requirements.
