CNC Machinist

CNC Machinst Based in Birmingham Full Time Permanent Role £20ph - £40500 basic salary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Precision CNC Machinist with experience in spark eroding (sinker EDM), wire eroding (wire EDM), and multi-axis CNC milling. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing high-precision components and tooling to tight tolerances for aerospace, automotive, medical, or precision engineering applications Contract and Benefits of CNC Machinist:

- £20 per hour basic pay DOE - 39 hours per week

- Investment into people - training and development Key responsibilities of CNC Machinist:
Set up and operate multi-axis CNC milling machines (3, 4, and 5-axis). Program, set, and run spark erosion (sinker EDM) and wire erosion machines. Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications. Manufacture components to tight tolerances and high surface finish standards. Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies. Conduct in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment. Perform machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

Work collaboratively with production teams to meet delivery schedules. Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping. Key attributes of CNC Machinist:
Proven experience in:
Spark eroding / Sinker EDM Wire eroding / Wire EDM Multi-axis CNC milling Strong understanding of precision engineering principles. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T. Experience working to micron-level tolerances. Knowledge of CNC programming and CAM software. Competent using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, gauges etc. Strong problem-solving and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
