We are recruiting an experienced Centreless Grinder to set and operate grinding machines, producing precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
The Role:- Set and operate centreless grinding machines.
- Carry out through-feed, in-feed and plunge grinding.
- Undertake precision centreless bar grinding.
- Produce multiple-diameter components using centreless form grinding.
- Carry out taper grinding.
- Inspect components using precision measuring equipment.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Previous experience setting and operating centreless grinding machines.
- Experience with the grinding processes listed above.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
- Confidence using micrometers and other precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Up to £20 per hour, depending on experience.
- Day shift working.
- Birmingham location.
