Are you a CNC Technician, looking for a stable, days-based role where you'll be the technical go-to on the shop floor, supporting a team of machinists and improving how precision parts are made?

This is a permanent position within a well-established precision engineering manufacturer, where you will play a key part in supporting production through new product introductions, continuous improvement, and day-to-day problem solving to maximise quality, efficiency and output.

In this role you will edit CNC programmes and CAM files in line with engineering changes, optimise machining processes and machine utilisation, and troubleshoot machining issues. You'll also coach and mentor setter/operator machinists, promoting best practice and supporting safe, efficient production to schedule.

This role would suit an experienced CNC Technician / Manufacturing Engineer with strong multi-axis machining knowledge, confident editing programmes, setting work and tooling, and reading technical drawings with GD&T, looking for a long-term, hands-on technical support role in production.

The Role:
  • Technical engineering support across production (days-based, 39 hours per week)
  • Support NPI setups and the introduction of new products
  • Optimise machining processes, utilisation and efficiency
  • Edit CNC programmes and CAM files (engineering change driven)
  • Coach and mentor setter/operator machinists and troubleshoot machining issues
The Person :
  • Extensive CNC multi-axis machining experience (precision components / difficult materials)
  • Strong tooling, machining process, CNC programming and machine control knowledge
  • Apprentice-trained with a recognised mechanical engineering qualification
