We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to take ownership of the marketing strategy and execution for We Build Trades
, while also leading growth-focused marketing strategies for our clients
.
This role is for someone with 4 – 5+ years’ experience in a marketing department or agency environment who enjoys identifying what works, improving it, and rolling it out will be responsible for shaping strategy, overseeing implementation, and ensuring both We Build Trades and its clients are using current, effective, and forward-thinking marketing approaches
.
1. Marketing Strategy – We Build Trades & Client Growth
- Develop and own marketing strategies for We Build Trades
, supporting lead generation, positioning, and growth - Create growth strategies for clients
, aligned to their commercial goals and budgets - Identify new opportunities across paid media, SEO, CRO, and funnel optimisation
- Turn strategy into clear, actionable plans that can be executed and measured
- Regularly review performance and evolve strategies based on data and results
- Lead strategic thinking across Google Ads and Paid Social for both We Build Trades and clients
- Identify and test new approaches
, including but not limited to:- Changes in Google Ads structures (e.g. evolving STAG / intent-based grouping)
- Smarter use of broad, exact and phrase match, Performance Max, and automation
- Creative testing frameworks on Meta
- Budget allocation and scaling strategies
- Ensure campaigns are structured correctly, launched cleanly, and optimised consistently
- Define testing roadmaps and ensure learnings are documented and reused
3. SEO & Organic Growth Strategy
- Lead the strategic direction of SEO for We Build Trades and clients
- Identify opportunities around:
- Search intent mapping
- Content clusters and topical authority
- Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation
- On-page and technical SEO improvements
- Ensure SEO activity is aligned with wider paid and conversion strategies
- Systemise SEO processes so activity is repeatable, scalable, and consistent
4. Implementation Oversight & Quality Control
- Oversee the implementation of all marketing activity
, stepping in hands-on where required - Maintain high standards across:
- Campaign builds
- Ad copy and creative
- Landing pages and conversion journeys
- Ensure everything that goes live is checked, structured, and aligned to best practice
- Balance strategic leadership with practical involvement when needed
5. High-Level Client Responsibility & Visibility
- Take responsibility for a select number of high-value client accounts
- Act as a senior marketing lead and escalation point
- Lead strategy discussions, performance reviews, and planning sessions
- Ensure clients have clear visibility on:
- What is being done
- Why it is being done
- What impact it is having
- What comes next
6. Communication, Organisation & Reporting
- Maintain clear, professional, and structured communication with clients and internal teams
- Translate performance data into clear insights and actions
, not just reports - Ensure documentation, reporting, and internal processes are well organised
- Create clarity and confidence through structure and consistency
7. Systemisation & Process Improvement
- Identify what works across WBT and client campaigns
- Document, systemise, and standardise repeatable processes
- Help build frameworks that allow marketing delivery to scale without quality dropping
- Improve efficiency across planning, execution, reporting, and communication
- Line manage and support a small internal marketing team (currently 3 people)
- Set clear priorities, workloads, and expectations
- Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and support
- Ensure work is planned, organised, and delivered to a consistently high standard
- 4 – 5+ years’ experience in a marketing department or agency
- Proven experience developing and delivering marketing and growth strategies
- Knowledge of Google Ads, Paid Social, and SEO
- Comfortable working at both strategic and executional levels
- Confident communicator with clients and senior stakeholders
