Overview
We build fundraising capacity in sport for good. Our small yet formidable team supports the fundraising ambitions of organisations all over the world, including Special Olympics, World Rugby, the KNVB, the Lawn Tennis Association, Dallaglio Rugby Works, Beyond Sport and many more. We provide a combination of direct fundraising support to these organisations alongside building a suite of accessible tools, resources and events to develop capability and improve fundraising effectiveness in the wider sport for good sector.
We are seeking a Communications and Storytelling Manager to join this mission and lead our own content and storytelling efforts while strengthening the fundraising communications capacity of organisations using sport for good.
Role and responsibilities- Coordinate Remedy's external communications across email newsletters, Linked In, and partner networks, curating and creating relevant and engaging content that delivers value for the sector
- Help our partners to review, set and refine their fundraising-related communications strategy/plans.
- Provide communications expertise to help partners strengthen their fundraising effectiveness
- Create written content including case studies, impact reports, donor communications and email newsletters
- Use design tools (particularly Canva) to create professional templates, guides, infographics and social media assets for internal use and sector-wide distribution
- Support our team to develop relevant tools, research, resources and events to build fundraising capacity across the sector.
- Develop and maintain our brand guidelines and visual identity across all platforms
- Belief in, and experience of, the use of sport to change lives in a positive way
- Determination to deliver, with an interest in developing new skills and taking ownership for the development of a growing service offer
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Tireless attention to detail
- Experience of working in or with charities and/or other non-profit organisations
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Experience of using digital tools to undertake research, connect with prospects, and develop proposals and presentations
- Direct experience of fundraising-focused communications or donor engagement
- Understanding of the fundraising landscape within sport for development
- Experience of consulting/advising charities, sports organisations and other non-profit entities on marketing and communications strategy
- Familiarity with email newsletter platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Beehive, Substack)
- Knowledge of website content management systems and SEO principles
- Experience producing impact reports, case studies or storytelling content
- Background in journalism, content marketing or copywriting
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive communications practices

Flexible location:
Co-working in Birmingham, UK is available if preferred, or remote elsewhere.
