Edward’s Trust is seeking a values-led Chief Executive to build on recent stabilisation and lead the charity into its next phase of sustainable impact.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a respected West Midlands charity providing specialist bereavement counselling and holistic wellbeing support to parents, children and young people experiencing profound loss.
Working closely with a committed Board and skilled staff team, the Chief Executive will provide visible, emotionally intelligent leadership, strengthen income resilience, and guide the organisation confidently through a challenging funding environment while protecting the quality and integrity of our services.
This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role, combining strategic clarity with practical delivery. The successful candidate will be comfortable holding complexity and uncertainty, and motivated by making a meaningful difference in a values‑led organisation.
Key responsibilities- Providing overall leadership and strategic direction for Edward’s Trust
- Strengthening financial sustainability and leading income generation activity
- Working in close partnership with the Board of Trustees to embed shared strategic priorities
- Acting as an external ambassador for the charity, building relationships and profile
- Leading and supporting a committed team delivering emotionally demanding services
- Significant senior leadership experience within a charity, health or social care setting
- Strong financial acumen and experience of income generation
- An engaging, emotionally intelligent leadership style
- Comfortable balancing strategy with hands‑on delivery

- Salary: £58,000–£65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
