Volunteer Organiser

Extra Care does not participate in the current "UK Visa Sponsorship" scheme, and we would not be able to facilitate sponsorship.

• Lead on the recruitment, retention, and recognition of volunteers both within and outside of the Village in line with the Volunteering strategy and policy.
• Raise the profile of volunteering within the Village to staff, residents, and visitors.
• Work with the Activities Coordinator at the Village to ensure appropriate numbers of Volunteers are available to assist with events and activities.
• To develop partnerships with external organisations such as universities, colleges, and local volunteer centres to build the Villages volunteer base.
• To encourage residents to contribute to the running of their location through volunteering.
• To co‑ordinate the induction of all new volunteers.
• To host an annual volunteer recognition event.

• You must have effective communication skills and be able to build rapport with volunteers and residents.
• The ability to be an effective influencer and engaging.
• Good networking skills.
• Proactive and enthusiastic with initiative.
• Will need to be fully flexible as this role requires some weekend working and Bank holidays on a rota basis.
