Job Overview

We are currently recruiting a Locum Junior A&E / Urgent Care Nurse (Qualified HCA) to join our team in Sandwell. We support several practices and healthcare services, offering a wide range of flexible shift options to suit your lifestyle.

• Salary: £14 per hour
• Location: Sandwell
• Employment Type: Temporary
• Hours: Full-time / Part-time available

• Taking initial vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respirations, oxygen saturations).
• Conducting basic patient assessments, including presenting illness, symptoms, and red‑flag warning signs.
• Using appropriate clinical assessment tools to identify deteriorating or unwell patients.
• Supporting nurses and clinicians in day‑to‑day duties within A&E/Urgent Care.
• Assisting with wound care, dressings, and basic clinical procedures (within competence).
• Maintaining accurate patient records and completing documentation as required.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Primary Care and A&E/Urgent Care settings.
• Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification.
• Ability to take initial vital signs, assess presenting symptoms, and use appropriate clinical assessment tools to recognise unwell patients.
• Must not require sponsorship.
• Valid passport (British or non‑British).

• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Completion of all mandatory training modules (or willingness to complete).
