We are excited to announce an opening for a Band 5 Staff Nurse in our Emergency Department at Heartlands Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated nurse with experience in acute or emergency care. As a member of our dynamic team, you will be at the forefront of providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in need of urgent attention.
As a Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will:
- Deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

- Evidence of professional and clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level leading to Professional registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register i.e. ( Adult / Child / Learning Disability or Mental Health)
- Evidence of undergraduate education for newly qualified nurses / or post graduate continuing professional development for registered nurses who have post registration experience
- Previous / recent experience or working in an acute secondary health and care setting (can include undergraduate student placements within the last 12 months)
- Willingness to become a practice supervisor / assessor to or meets Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for student supervision and assessment
- Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the NMC code of conduct and the proficiencies and standards for registered nurses can apply this to undergraduate training or post graduate practice
