We are seeking an experienced, team‑oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at New Priory Vets—Brighton on a full‑time basis. This role involves working primarily at our flagship hospital site in central Brighton and covering two smaller sites.
How You’ll Make a DifferenceAs a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first‑opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
This position is 37.5 hours across four days, Monday‑Friday, with weekends and bank holidays on rotation throughout the year.
General Responsibilities- Assist veterinary surgeons in theatre and consultations
- Responsible for inpatient care, including patient admits and discharges
- Carry out nursing consultations
- Have dedicated anaesthesia days
- Communicate regularly with clients, building our client base
- Registered Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
- Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
- Ability to carry out routine surgeries, with experience in more complex ones preferred (support available)
