DescriptionPriory Hospital Woodbourne is looking for a Full‑time Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred nursing care across all wards. The role is 37.5 hours a week and requires 6–12 months post‑registration experience with active NMC registration and completion of a preceptorship programme. A dual qualification is desirable but not essential. This position is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or those still completing preceptorship.
What you’ll be doingAs the named nurse, you will assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate care in partnership with patients and their families or carers. Your duties include responding to changes in patients’ needs, reviewing care plans, managing concerns and complaints, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, prioritising and delegating workload, and acting as nurse in charge when required. You will also maintain professional development, support newly qualified staff as a preceptor, participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice, promote safeguarding and compliance with the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and medicines management policies, and adhere to organisational policies and the NMC Code.
Whatyou’ll bring to the role Essential
- Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6–12 months post‑registration experience, active NMC registration and completed preceptorship programme.
- Evidence of post‑registration continuing professional development.
- A dual qualification in another nursing discipline.
